As from the 1st April 2018 there will be a requirement for any commercial properties rented out to normally have a minimum energy performance rating of E on an Energy Performance Certi cate (EPC). The regulations will come into force for new lets and renewals of tenancies with effect from 1st April 2018 and for all existing tenancies on 1st April 2020. It will be unlawful to rent a property which breaches the requirement for a minimum E rating, unless there is an applicable exemption. A civil penalty up to £4,000 will be imposed for breaches. There are separate regulations effective from 1st April 2016 under which a tenant can apply for consent to carry out energy efficiency improvements in privately rented properties. The Regulations also apply to domestic private rented sector properties in England and Wales.
Commercial organisations often have many demands on their capital, so when it comes to energy efficiency, even though the savings can be considerable, it doesn't get high priority. Our solutions allow you to have the best of both worlds, by financing the energy efficiency improvements you can save money on energy from day one, with no capital outlay.
Our LED lighting can often produce massive savings in energy consumption. With the recent improvements in LED technology, higher outputs, and lower prices, we can usually save customers between 60 and 80 percent of their lighting energy bill.
We have a variety of solutions to generate energy, and then store it until you need it. This allows you to generate say from solar, then release that energy at night to power lights and machinery in a factory with a 24hr operation. Alternativiely, you may just have some land available, where we could install a generate and store facility, that is not just good for the enviroment, but will produce a healthy income for the landowner.
We have solutions to turn farm waste and manure into energy, along with food waste, and even non recylable household waste.
Our draughtproofring solutions are market leading, in fact the only solution approved for listed buildings. If you've got a draughty older building, then have a look at the difference we can make by installing our draught proofing solution. We also have a product designed specially for social housing.
Often, heating systems, in large buildings use warm air blowers. Heating with these heaters in isolation can lead to a lot of wasted energy from heating spaces that are unoccupied. By installing low energy fans, we can point the warm air to the areas where it's required, reducing the amount of energy required to heat warehouses, workshops, leisure spaces and agricultural buildings.
